College Football and values.
Soap Box time.  I've been flabbergasted at recent events.  The extent to which our (as a collective) emotions get riled up for sports, specifically this time college football and who plays, coaches, wins and loses is just too much,  I've seen riots for world soccer matches, fist fights at junior sports events and its all ridiculous.  What is the reason?  These are games, pastimes that aren't arenas for martial prowess or political superiority.  And to have such a violent reaction to the disciplinary action that a school has taken and not the reason for the action gives me even more pause.  I was raised in the south, an SEC girl, who's family never set foot on the campus of UF except to go to a game; but the loyalty for which they displayed to that school is indicative of what I am talking about.  Friday night football was all encompassing- marching band was the 2nd most funded activity at my high school because it was attached to football.

Growing up, moving out and moving on I found I am more a fan of small group or singular sports, but I still find the idolization of those athletes.  They are people, falible and imperfect.

Now its coming to light that the NFL has been withholding information regarding the full extent of injuries from repeated head hits.  Now part of me says, "well yeah- duh". then I remember that quite a few of these guys barely made it out of college to purse pro sports and they are trusting the team doctors.  I think they are starting to realize that the money is more important than the players after all.

The greed and dishonesty isn't just in football; that is just the sport on my mind right now.  That is all.

It does matter.  Manners matter, appearance matters, grammar matters, hygiene matters.  Lets not forget these things.

Makes sense to me

So we are in a recession, right?  Our government has made some pretty fiscally boneheaded decisions to fix some of the best worst ideas of the greediest and short sited people in charge.  I don’t know about the rest of you, but some of my friends and neighbors are bartering what they have if short on cash.  My back yard neighbor had Mike fix his computer, since he is an out of work landscaper, he going to tidy up my yard for me.  I think that works well.

Our military is not just around to break, blow up and disrupt things; they protect, defend and support freedoms around the world.  Part of that mission is to do it with as little as possible sometimes.  That sometimes takes research

We are WAYYY too oil dependant.  Perhaps too nuclear dependant.  The biggest reason that the American solar panel company went under was because it is more expensive to pay and American wage and do it right cheaper than China or another country that has no wage, safety or quality controls.  It is not the technology or the results.

It has been proposed that the US Military let some of their excesses of land be used by alternative energy researchers/producers/companies.  It has also been said that this is a monumental waste of time and money.  I ask, what money?  They are using land which I know from experience is there as a buffer in most cases.   I ask what time?  In my opinion there is no bigger waste of time than fighting to stay back and not push ahead.  Having a back pack made from solar cells to run the communications equipment sounds WAY better than luggin around batteries or a generator.  Lets try and make this easier on us, maybe?

Some retarded (I can say this in my blog) politicians say the the gov’t doesn’t pick winners and losers.  How about supporting long haul trucking initiatives for the teamsters over rail?  (Hm, using more gas)  How about taking the solar panels off of the white house ensuring that we get to pay for the electricity the old fashioned way?   How about creating artificial boundaries in the middle east and promoting unrest to keep oil prices lower and draw attention away from the other resources there (lithium) that we want to use?  How about letting the drug companies run their own tests and poo poo anything other than (I laugh) traditional medicine.  These assholes pick winners and losers ALL THE TIME.  Ugh.  I have been watching and reading the news again.  Someone had me my vibrator.

Oh, for more time to explore this in my head.  But alas, I am not on my time right now.

From Vannila to Rocky Road

Some history of my adult entertainment experience.  After I got back for living in Germany I looked around for a 'regular' job. Space program
